Last week, Apple introduced the iPhone 14 series along with other new products, including new Apple Watch models and AirPods Pro 2. Sales of these devices were scheduled to begin on September 16, but it looks like buyers of the Pro models will have to wait until October to get their hands on these devices.
Delay in iPhone 14 Pro shipments
iPhone 14 pre-orders have reportedly hit a snag as Apple fans try to get hold of the latest offerings. There have been several tweets showing that fans are having trouble getting their orders to work for the iPhone 14 series through the Apple Store. After 45 minutes of testing, bugs reportedly affected everything from pre-orders to trade-in options. The online Apple Store is providing redirects with “Page Not Found” messages.
Previously, only the iPhone 14 Plus was delayed until October, but now buyers of each iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max will have to wait until October. It looks like the regular iPhone 14 won’t have any delays and shipments could start on September 16 as expected.
In particular, Apple has not confirmed anything regarding the iPhone 14 series shipment delay.
When is iPhone 14 Pro expected to ship?
According to an update on Apple’s website, those interested in buying the iPhone 14 Pro will have to wait four to five weeks in select color options like Silver, Space Black, Deep Purple, and Gold. As of now, only the iPhone 14 Pro 1TB Gold and 1TB Silver variants will go on sale between September 16 and September 19.
On the other hand, all iPhone 14 Pro Max storage options and color variants will be available for purchase only after five to six weeks. According to the new update, iPhone 14 Pro shipments will begin between October 11 and October 18, while iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments will be extended from October 18 to October 25.
