Over the past year, Google has shown off both tablets with Android 12L and wearables with the upcoming Pixel Watch to improve areas outside of Android. Laptops are another area that Google is working on expanding next year, we learn from the report. Verge Google had planned to launch a new Pixelbook, but those plans have now been scrapped.

The cancellation of the project is part of recent cost-cutting decisions at Google, and members who worked on the Pixelbook have been moved to other departments. Verge Google’s head of hardware, Rick Osterloh, recalled telling the publication that Google was “going to be working on Pixelbooks in the future.”
A Google spokesperson said. Verge “Google doesn’t share future product plans or personal data. But we’re committed to building and supporting a portfolio of innovative and helpful Google products for our users.” […] As for our people, we work to transition team members through tools and services as we shift priorities.
Google Pixelbook Go
Google will announce new hardware on October 6, including the new Pixel 7 and 7 Pro, a new Pixel Watch, and some rumors suggest we could see some new Nest Home hardware as well. Google is on track to release a foldable Pixel device sometime next year, though not at the next event.
