Prestige and luxury design company Porsche Design recently announced an agreement to collaborate on upcoming high-end smartphone designs. Not much has been revealed about the said phones, except that the first models are expected to arrive in January 2024.
Honor Magic 6 Porsche design
According to the new leak, the first Porsche Design models are probably Magic6 Pro and Magic6 Porsche Design. The leak comes from a Weibo user and shows two different phone models. As seen in the leaked image, the Magic6 Porsche Design looks like a two-notch horizontal design and a leather finish. Both the Honor and Porsche Design logos are prominently displayed on the back.
Next, we have the Magic6 Pro, which still looks at least as good as last year’s Magic5 Pro. The circular camera cluster looks a bit tighter this year and is especially complemented by the speedometer design on the outer diameter of the island. In our opinion, it’s a bit cheesy, but we can see an audience for it.
Honor Magic 6 Pro
As we know so far, there are three “mainline” Honor6 models – vanilla Honor6, Honor6 Pro and Honor6 Ultimate. It remains to be seen whether each of these devices will get a different Porsche design edition. Mind you, there’s already the Magic6 Lite, which is a rebranded X9b and probably won’t get the Porsche design treatment.
We have some early specs for some Magic6 devices. The Pro model is expected to feature a QHD OLED display and a dual selfie camera with a pill-shaped bezel. The latter can be included in Smart Island’s notification features. Also on the spec sheet is a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and a dedicated graphics and security chip.
The standard Magic6 is expected to launch an interesting 160MP periscope zoom camera and variable aperture over the main OV50H or OV50K camera. 66W wired charging is also in the cards.
