Normally, Apple or Samsung would be the first to hear news or rumors about upcoming devices and products, but this time it’s Google’s turn. In the case of the Google Pixel Watch, years of hints will finally be confirmed — or finally disproved. That’s because Google will host its “Made By Google” launch event live from New York’s Williamsburg district at 10:00 a.m. ET.
TL; DR
- Google’s launch event will take place on October 6 at 10 am EST.
- Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro and Google Pixel Watch will be unveiled.
- Pre-sale starts directly after the event.
Be live when Google reveals its new products
It’s rare that we’ve had to wait as long for a product as the Google Pixel Watch. It felt like it had been announced thousands of times, and then nothing came of it. One shouldn’t count their chickens before they hatch at this point, but at least, even Google hasn’t made it a secret that the smartwatches will go on pre-sale today at 10.00am ET.
Anything else we want to know, especially the price, will be revealed. I’m sure owners of WearOS-powered smartwatches are waiting for the new operating system Samsung to remove its uniqueness when it comes to wearables.
You’re probably more interested in the two Android 13-powered smartphones, the Google Pixel 7 and the Google Pixel 7 Pro. And that’s not a problem, as both candidates will be announced today where you can pre-order shortly after the event. I don’t want to repeat the approximate technical details for a hundred times, but if you are still interested, you can find our collected information as follows.
Stop right there! According to Mountain View, that’s not all. Google also announces some smart products for your home. So, at least Google Chromecast, which was announced a few weeks ago, will feature Google TV, and it will appear on the platform once again. Also, the Nest Doorbell and Google Nest Wifi Pro, which was released yesterday, will remain compatible with the Google Stadia cloud gaming service, which will unfortunately be discontinued on January 18, 2023.
Google Pixel tablets remain in the rumor mill like the Nest Smart Display and Google Pixel Fold, but hey, one can dream, can’t they? In a few hours we will know whether these dreams will burst like soap bubbles or come true. For more information about the event, watch the video below.
After this follows a wide coverage of all the products offered. And who knows, maybe we’ll have one or the other product on hand by then!
