Many homegrown smartphone brands, including Lava, have lost their foothold in the market over the past few years to the arrival of Chinese brands. However, Lava is trying to make a comeback by launching its offerings at competitive price points. After responding to its Blaze series phones, it launched a new lineup of smartphones dubbed Lava Storm.
According to a Pricebaba report, the Lava Storm series consists of two models — Lava Storm and Storm Pro 5G. The Lava Storm is said to be a budget 4G offering with entry-level specs. On the other hand, the Lava Storm Pro 5G could be the company’s latest 5G offering for those on a budget.
The report cited its sources and was based on Twitter Helpful advice giver He said that the next series of smartphones from Lava could break cover by the end of this year. These phones are also said to support Lava Blaze 5G.

Furthermore, the report also reveals the key specifications of the upcoming Lava Storm and Lava Storm Pro 5G smartphones. Similarly, the Lava Storm is likely to feature a MediaTek Helio chipset and a 50MP primary camera sensor at the back. It is also believed to come with 18W fast charging support.
Meanwhile, the 5G-enabled Lava Storm Pro is said to offer more advanced 33W fast charging support and use the same processor and camera sensor as its 4G counterpart. It is also noted that these Lava phones will be available in three color options. For now, other details of these upcoming smartphones are not known and we can expect more details to be leaked soon.
A budget 5G smartphone could be a trendsetter.
Lava currently sells only one 5G smartphone – the Agni 5G, which is priced at Rs. 17,999. As a budget smartphone, the Blaze 5G supports next-gen mobile services, but the device is yet to go on sale. According to reports, the Lava Blaze 5G is said to be priced at Rs. 10,000 and will go on sale around Diwali weekend, which is later this month.
With the launch of the affordable Lava Storm Pro 5G, the company may turn the tide and sway buyers to its 5G offerings.
