Motorola is in the process of launching in the Indian market. Recently, it launched the Moto G72, and Moto E32 smartphones. Fresh reports have hinted that the company is planning to launch the Moto E22s in India next week. This smartphone will be officially released in Europe in August 2022.
A very well-known tip Mukul SharmaAccording to the username stoflings, the Moto E22s will be launched in India on October 17. The tipster also revealed the image of the smartphone, revealing its rear panel and key specifications. As the Moto E22s carries an affordable price tag (priced at €159, which is Rs. 12,800), we can expect it to lock horns with entry-level smartphones including the Redmi A1+.
A quick look at Moto E22s Specs
The tip states that the Moto E22s will offer an IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphones are tipped to come with Android 12 OS pre-installed, IP 52 rating, dual-camera setup at the back with LED flash and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.
While the tipster only spilled the beans on the key specifications, the international variant of the Motorola smartphone sports a 6.5-inch waterdrop display with HD+ resolution. It houses an 8 MP selfie camera sensor. At the back, the dual-camera setup houses a 16MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary depth sensor.
Under the hood, the Moto E22s draws power from a MediaTek Helio G37 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space. A 5,000 mAh smartphone supports standard 10W charging. Other notable features include a front opening and a microSD card slot for memory expansion.
How does it compare to the Redmi A1+?
Earlier this week, Redmi teased the arrival of a new budget smartphone in India, dubbed the Redmi A1+. Finally the device has launched today starting at Rs. 7,499. The Redmi A1+ features a waterdrop display to house the selfie camera and runs Android 12 with a clean UI similar to the Redmi A1. This means there will be no ads and bloatware, which puts it on par with Motorola smartphones.
The Redmi smartphone has a dual-camera setup at the back, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood. That said, the Moto E22s and Redmi A1+ are expected to lock horns in terms of specifications and price. Since Redmi phones have a loyal following and it will take some effort to make the Moto E22s available in India, Motorola can only gain the upper hand if it chooses to price its supply at a reasonable price.
