Motorola Moto G72 (2022) has launched in more countries. The mid-range 4G device first appeared in the Indian market and is now making its way to Europe at a price of 260 euros, although the price may vary in some countries.
TL; DR
- The Motorola Moto G72 is coming to Europe starting at €260.
- The midrange doesn’t have Android 5G, but it does come with a new Helio G99 chip and a 108MP camera.
- The Moto G72 sports IP52 water resistance and is available in grey, white or blue.
Motorola Moto G72 features a 6.5-inch P-OLD screen with Full HD resolution. It’s not revealed if there’s any glass protection, but what’s confirmed is a decent 120Hz refresh rate. Interestingly, the device comes with IP52 water resistance and an in-display fingerprint scanner, both of which are rare to find in this price range.
Snappy processor and huge main camera
A MediaTek Helio G99 processor powers the Moto G72 paired with 128GB of expandable storage and 6/8GB of RAM. There’s dual-SIM support, although you’ll need to ditch the microSD card as it’s a hybrid tray rather than a full dual slot. In addition to the stereo speakers, a 3.5mm audio jack sits next to the USB-C port.

Visually, a triple camera module is placed at the back. The primary sensor is a 108MP snapper, while the other is an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro camera. Despite the massive shooter, video recording is limited to 60fps at 1080p resolution. A 16MP selfie camera is also housed in a punch hole cut into the display.
Moto G72 price and lack of 5G support
Motorola’s Moto G72 runs on Android 12 OS. It also includes a 5000mAh battery and a generous 30W fast charging. There is also NFC with WiFi ac and Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity. Notably, the device lacks the 5G feature, which may disappoint those looking for faster data speeds.
The Moto G72 is available in Meteorite Grey, Mineral White and Polar Blue. Depending on which country it will be sold between 260 and 280 euros. Motorola hasn’t confirmed that the Moto G72 will be headed to the US and Canada, though we don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up.
