Introduction and details
The Moto G82 is one of Motorola’s mid-range offerings that was announced in May this year, and yes, this review has been a long time coming. But the G82 is finally here and now that the price has dropped below the €300 mark, it’s a really interesting device. There is a Chinese variant called the Moto G71s and the G82 could make a case that it is a slightly upgraded version of the Moto G71 5G for the global market.
The G71 5G and G82 are very similar, but the latter brings better features to the table for its price tag. Also, the G82 is a new step in Motorola’s Moto G lineup this year since last year’s G81 wasn’t there.
Now that we’ve established the Moto G82’s place in Motorola’s portfolio, let’s take a closer look at its specifications.

At first glance, the Moto G82 has the expected hardware at the asking price with a 6.6-inch 120Hz OLED panel, Snapdragon 695 SoC doing the heavy lifting and 6GB/128GB storage configuration by default. There’s also a microSD card if the storage isn’t enough. The battery also supports 2022-degrees-5,000 mAh 30W fast wired charging.
Interestingly, the 50 MP main camera has OIS, which is a rare feature in this segment. The company likes to include optical stabilization in its budget phones, which is commendable, but we’re a little worried about the size of the sensor – 1/2.76. We’ve seen a few hidden gems from Motorola in the past, especially when it comes to photography, so we might be surprised by the G82.
That’s why we suggest you go through the following pages and find out if the Moto G82 is worth your hard-earned money or if competitors like Samsung, Xiaomi and Realme offer better value.
