- The OnePlus 11 Pro is said to be unveiled later this year.
- It is expected to feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.
- OnePlus’ 11 Pro is also said to copy the design of the Oppo Find X6 Pro.
Powerful processor on OnePlus 11
The frequent leak digital chat site has managed to share some important details about the OnePlus 11 Pro chipset. The translation is very rough, but it clearly indicates that it will launch with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (SM8850) before the end of the year. If this happens, this would put the launch date of OnePlus’ premium device alongside the Qualcomm SD 8Gen2 announcement around November.
On the other hand, Xiaomi may join OnePlus by showing the Xiaomi 13 in December, considering that the previous lineup was launched in the same month last year. Unfortunately, these devices are expected to be exclusive in China for a few months before finally making their way to other territories.
Samsung is another manufacturer to use the very efficient and fast Snapdragon silicon. The South Korean giant has confirmed that the Galaxy S23 will only be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, leaving the Exynos option by the wayside.
The OnePlus 11 Pro could repurpose an Oppo phone.
Apart from the chipset choice, the OnePlus 11 Pro is also said to pack the same design as the Oppo Find X6 Pro. Based on the source from Weibo, OnePlus is not planning to repeat or keep any special features for the unannounced flagship. Instead, it copies the Oppo handset in every corner, including the camera system, except for the logo and branding.
Until all this information is confirmed, we recommend taking this with a grain of salt. Regardless, do you think OnePlus would be better off mirroring its sister company’s style? Let’s hear your thoughts in the comments section.
