After a long teaser campaign, Xiaomi India has finally announced the Redmi Pad Android tablet. This is the first board in the Redmi lineup and it brings a compelling specification along with a competitive price.
The Redmi Pad has a 10.6-inch LCD display with a resolution of 1200 x 2000 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen is tuned by four speakers with Dolby Atmos. The tablet is equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G99 chipset and can be configured with 3/4/6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage.

On the board are a pair of 8MP cameras with a front-facing 105° view through the focus frame – which tracks your movements during video calls. Xiaomi packs an 8,000mAh battery with 18W charging support. The software page is Android 12 on top of MIUI 13 and comes with 3 years of software support and 2 Android version updates guaranteed.
The Redmi Pad comes in Graphite Grey, Moonlight Silver and Mint Green colors. Pricing in India for the 3/64GB trim starts at INR 12,499. You can get the mid-range 4/64GB option for INR 14,499, while the top-end 6/128GB model retails for INR 19,999. Open sales are scheduled for October 5 at 10AM local time via the Xiaomi India online store and partner retailers.
