A day after Samsung promised to release One UI 5.1.1 for its older devices, the company is rolling out the stable software version to Galaxy Z Fold4 owners in Europe. That same update is also hitting the Galaxy Tab S8 series.
It is the software version. F936BXXU4DWH5, weighs 2.76GB and features the August 2023 security patch from Google. The update brings multitasking features, such as up to four app icons (recently used apps) on the taskbar and two-handed drag and drop, which lets you move files between apps.
The new One UI also lets you hide apps that have been opened in a popup window, and the recent apps menu shows the current state of the app in question – whether it’s full screen, in split-screen mode, or in a popup window.
The Instant Share feature improves the ability to send files to others even if they’re not on the same Wi-Fi network, and you can now set a timeout for shared files in Personal Share.
The release of Galaxy Z Fold4 is just the beginning, older Z Fold, Z Flip and tablets are getting One UI 5.1.1.
