Looking for a charger for your Samsung smartphone or tablet? We’ve selected the best chargers from Samsung, Anker, Spigen and Baseus to charge your Galaxy S22 Ultra, Z Fold 4 or Tab S8 in twice as fast.
Samsung allows you to charge your Galaxy smartphones and tablets with up to 45W of power. To take full advantage of this fast charging capability, you need the right charger that meets the right standards. That’s why we’ve made this selection to help you choose the right charger to charge your Samsung device.
The Galaxy S22 is only compatible with 25W fast charging, unlike the Galaxy S22+ and S22 Ultra with up to 45W. All three models are compatible with 15W wireless charging. Samsung does not provide chargers with its smartphones. You can find our selection of the best chargers for your smartphone or Samsung tablet in the table below.

We recommend two original Samsung chargers, one each for wired and inductive charging. In addition, there are three options from third-party manufacturers, which we think are the most recommended.

This is what you should look for when shopping for smartphone chargers.
There are tons of different chargers on the market from Samsung and countless third-party manufacturers. For the most part, smartphone manufacturers always require the use of original battery chargers. This is due to a different charging power, but it increases security because you cannot know what quality third-party manufacturers have released. We would like to shed more light on this.
Fast charging standards supported by Samsung smartphones
Samsung is not among the best smartphone manufacturers in terms of fast charging, like Apple and Google. When it comes to fast charging smartphones, Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Realme are much better at charging up to 160W or more. Unfortunately, these manufacturers rely on proprietary standards, so you need the right charger with the right cable to use them.
Samsung doesn’t offer the highest power rating, but it does have the advantage of using the latest universal standards. So to charge your Galaxy S22 Ultra with high power, you don’t need to have the official Samsung charger as any charger with enough power and compatible with USB PD 3.0 will do.
If you want to learn more about these different levels and how fast charging works, I highly recommend our article on Fast Charging Levels. There we explain the USB standard known as “power supply” which can deliver up to 100 watts via USB-C.
How fast can I charge a Samsung smartphone?
We’ve mentioned it before: the S22+ and S22 Ultra charge up to 45W, assuming it uses a compatible charging adapter. If you decide on the base S22 model, the maximum is 25 watts, the same as in the three predecessors from 2021. Interestingly, older models like the Galaxy Note 10+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra support 45W fast charging.
In practice, this speed mostly failed (rather it was around 30 W). The new models seem to suffer from 45 watts only in theory. The following list of the most important Samsung smartphones at the moment shows the maximum charging speed and which standards are supported according to Samsung.
