The App Store business and payment system is designed to enable you to conveniently set up and sell your products and services globally in 44 currencies across 175 storefronts. Periodically, we update prices on the App Store in certain regions based on tax and foreign exchange rates. This is done by using exchange rate data from financial data providers to help ensure app and in-app purchases are equal across all storefronts.

In the year In order to reduce the value added tax rate from 15 percent to 12 percent, the prices in Uzbekistan will be reduced. Your income will be adjusted accordingly and calculated based on the tax-exclusive rate.

While app store prices in Ireland, Luxembourg, Singapore and Zimbabwe remain unchanged, your earnings will be adjusted to reflect the following tax changes.

  • Ireland: Reduction of VAT rate on electronic newspapers and periodicals from 9% to 0%.
  • Luxembourg: Reduction of VAT rate from 17% to 16%.
  • Singapore: The Goods and Services Tax rate has been increased from 7 percent to 8 percent.
  • Zimbabwe: Value Added Tax rate increased from 14.5% to 15%.

In addition, by the end of January ** there will be increased revenue for local developers selling in Cambodia, Kyrgyzstan, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea, Tajikistan, Thailand and Uzbekistan.

Apple estimates and deducts taxes based on the tax category information you provide before calculating commission. Exhibit B of the Paid Applications Agreement will be updated to reflect this change.

Once these changes are implemented, the My Apps Pricing and Availability section will be updated. As always, you can change the price of your apps and in-app purchases (including auto-renewable subscriptions) at any time in App Store Connect. If you offer subscriptions, you can choose to keep prices for existing subscribers.

And as previously announced, in spring 2023, improved pricing capabilities for app and in-app purchases will give you 700 more price points and more flexibility to set storefront prices, so you can manage foreign exchange rate changes independent of international equivalent rates.
