Vivo’s upcoming X Fold+, initially thought to be called the X Fold S, has been in the rumor mill for a few weeks and we’re getting very close to its release date. We already knew that it would feature an upgraded Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset compared to the original X Fold, as well as support for 80W fast wired charging, and now some more details about the as-yet-unannounced device have surfaced with praise. Jia revealed the fact that the X Fold+ will come in a new red colorway (the X Fold was only available in black and blue). We are told that the new phone will pack a 4,730 mAh battery over the previous phone’s 4,600 mAh battery. The teaser image above was also posted to give you a little idea of the red X Fold+ and what it will look like. Unfortunately, the picture quality is not as impressive as you can see, but the official announcement is not far off.
Apart from SoC, the battery capacity, increased cable charging and the new color, the vivo X Fold+ is expected to be similar to the X Fold, with the same 8.03-inch internal display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. 6.53-inch external display with 120 Hz refresh rate, 12GB RAM, 256/512GB storage, 50MP main camera with OIS, 12MP 2x zoom snapper, 8MP periscope 5x zoom cam, 48MP ultrawide and 16 MP selfie shooter.
