The Vivo X100 Pro+ will have three impressive cameras, a leak on Weibo earlier today hinted. A flagship 50MP main camera with a 1-inch-type Sony IMX989 sensor – expected in the coming months – is said to be used in the X90 Pro+. However, here we probably see the variable aperture that Huawei has made with the P60 Pro and its f/1.4-f/4.0 main camera.
Another improvement is the so-called 200 MP telephoto lens, which will be a big boost for such a camera in the smartphone world. Although this looks impressive on paper, we believe it will be a 50MP sensor with pixel-binning.
The portrait camera is said to be a 50MP shooter with a Sony IMX758 sensor behind the lens. This is the same in vivo X90 Pro+ and X90 Pro which has 2x optical zoom, AF and OIS for this particular camera.
The phone will have a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, which means we won’t see it until Qualcomm officially releases the chipset. Vivo also equips the X100 Pro+ with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. The leak also revealed IP68 water and dust resistance as well as an under-screen ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
All of these features mentioned above have been industry standards for flagships for the past year, so it’s no surprise to see them in the X100 Pro+. We’d be surprised if the company made a Qualcomm-powered phone — something it hasn’t done since mid-2022, when the vivo X80 Pro went global.
