Xiaomi 13 Ultra is one of the most anticipated products of this year. We’ve seen Xiaomi do some amazing photography magic with the 12S Ultra and the Xiaomi 13 Pro, and the 13 Ultra is shaping up to take it a step further. With four 50MP rear cameras and a wider global launch, the 13 Ultra is sure to shake up the leaderboard of great camera smartphones. We now have a render of the device, giving us a better look at what the phone will look like.
Important advice OnLeaks Introducing the Xiaomi 13 Ultra developers. Smart Prix. The device is said to measure 163.18mm × 74.64mm × 9.57mm, making it one of the largest flagship smartphones.
As we can see from the leaked renders, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra has a unique design. The side frame looks downright iPhone-esque with its flat edges and slight chamfer. The display and back curve around the side frame, so despite the phone’s larger size, it shouldn’t be as restrictive to hold as the iPhone 14 Pro.
What divides opinion is how big and blocky the Xiaomi 13 Ultra’s camera island is. The top slowly slides out, and then you have more action on the camera island. This large size is needed to accommodate four large 50MP camera sensors, so we’re not too surprised. Needless to say, this phone can be quite heavy.
With this black color variation, we can see the rear panel bulge better. The back of this black color variant seems to have the same plastic-leather finish as we saw on the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. We should be open to changes in the final build materials though, as these will be leaks.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra is expected to launch in China on April 18, 2023. The phone will later go to more markets globally. We’re excited to see what Xiaomi and Leica do with four equally capable 50MP larger sensors.
