At today’s event, Xiaomi unveiled new products including the Xiaomi Book Air 13 – 13.3-inch laptop with an OLED screen and the latest CPUs from Intel.
The Book Air 13 comes in two main configurations, one with a Core i7-1250U CPU and one with an i5-1230U. Either way, you get 16GB of LPDDR5 5200MHz memory by default along with a 512GB PCIe 4.0 SSD.
The OLED display measures 13.3 inches diagonally and has a resolution of 2880 x 1800 pixels for a 16:10 aspect ratio. It also has 3 sheets of Gorilla Glass for added protection. That last bit is important as the hinge can flip the touch around. The display is Dolby Vision and HDR 500 certified, supports DC dimming with PWM and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space.
It comes with a pair of Dolby Atmos stereo speakers supported by a Dolby Vision screen and two tweeters.
Connectivity-wise, the device offers two Thunderbolt 4 connectors and a 3.5 mm audio jack. The entire system is powered by a 58.3Wh battery charging on a 65W adapter, presumably PD-compliant.
The body of the notebook is only 12mm thick, weighs 1.2kg and comes in white only. We don’t know if we’ll see Xiaomi’s updated Book Air 13 outside of China.
