Xiaomi recently hinted that the Redmi Note 12 series of phones should be unveiled this month. We’re still tight-lipped on details, but the consensus among industry sources is that the launch will initially include three devices – Redmi Note 12, Note 12 Pro and Note 12 Pro+. Going by past experiences with Redmi Note lines, we can only expect the list to get longer and longer.
But now, before the announcement event, we focus on some leaks like the banner of this product which seems to show the Redmi Note 12 phone, possibly the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ with a curved display. Naturally, that also means the panel in question will be OLED.

As we said, we’re still light on other details regarding the Redmi Note 12 phones, but the only leaks include mention of the Snapdragon 1080 chipset for the two Pro models. The 1080 is an upgrade over the Dimensity 920 in a few ways, but many are focusing on the chip’s 200MP camera capability. It’s not unreasonable to expect at least one 200MP camera from the Redmi Note 12 phones.
Turning to Xiaomi’s Weibo post teasing the Redmi Note 12 series, we know that the phones will feature “two major technologies,” one of which is a “world first.” We also know that the Redmi Note 12 Pro+ has been certified to handle 210W charging. This could be one of the features that Xiaomi is targeting. But this is just speculation on our part. As things currently stand, there’s still a bit of mystery to enjoy in the lead-up to the announcement.
