Say hello to the Redmi Pad SE – the latest tablet in Xiaomi’s affordable sub-brand portfolio. The device has a large screen for “extraordinary viewing pleasure” and will be priced at just €199 on the international stage.
Redmi has equipped this tablet with Snapdragon 680 chipset. It is built on a 6nm process and has 128 GB of storage on the side; There’s a microSD port for up to 1TB more. We choose one of three RAM options – 4 GB, 6 GB or 8 GB.
The screen is an 11-inch LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels with a refresh rate of up to 90 Hz. Redmi promises 400 nits of brightness and 1500:1 contrast ratio, and the brand even certified the panel at TUV Rheinland for its low blue light.
On the front, it has a very thin bezel that hides the 5MP selfie camera (when held horizontally). It has an 8MP f/2.0 camera on the back capable of recording 1080p video. The Redmi Pad SE has “large-sized quad speakers” and support for Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio, and even has a 3.5mm audio jack.
There’s a USB-C port for the 8,000 mAh battery, which unfortunately only supports 10W charging. Other specs include Android 13 on top of MIUI Pad 14, a 478g body, dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.0.
Redmi Pad SE is available in three colors – Lavender Purple, Graphite Gray and Mint Green. Prices are €199 for 4GB, €229 for 6GB and €249 for the 8GB variant. Some retailers offer proprietary covers in black or white for added comfort and protection at an unknown additional cost.
