The main function of a robot vacuum cleaner is to suck up dust – and some devices have an additional mop pad. But with Yedi Mop Station, this additional feature – cleaning – becomes the main feature. The Yedi Mop Station is a great concept with a self-cleaning station, but is the performance worth the investment? Check out our review!
Yeedi Mop Station: Where can I buy it?
The Yedi Mop Station is available from $799.99 in the US on e-tailers such as Amazon. However, that figure could be lower as Yedi is currently offering an insane $200 discount on Amazon. Yedi Mop Station can be purchased for only $599.99 by applying the discount coupon.

Unboxing and setup
Like all robot vacuums and mops, the Yedi Mop Station is quite large and takes up a lot of space. It requires us to have a complete treatment station with integrated water tanks. In addition to the space occupied by the cleaning station measuring 411 x 382 x 430 mm, a distance of 0.5 m to the side and 1.5 m to the front is required so that the robot can park itself properly. .
What I liked:
- Easy installation and quick setup.
- A comprehensive quick start guide.
What I don’t like:
- Time-consuming optical mapping process, no LiDAR sensor.

In this box, we have a self-cleaning and charging station, power cord, robot vacuum, side brush, two sets of mop pads, mop attachment plates, water tank and waste tank, outdoor cleaning tool. , and the instructions for using the device. As usual Yedi has put together a very complete and easy to understand quick start guide.
The Yedi Mop Station uses the manufacturer’s standard app to control the robotic vacuum and cleaning automation features. To start using the robot, you first need to download the Yedi app on your smartphone or tablet (Android or iOS), then simply create an account and follow the instructions on the app. The robot has an overhead camera to measure its position, so adding the model is done via a QR code using the camera lens.

The robot itself is well designed, with sensors on a visually familiar front panel that reminds me of Daft Punk’s duo helmets. The Yedi mop station uses the 2.4GHz network frequency for internet coverage for a large area.
That is, if the configuration is completed, the next step is to prepare a map of the house. The Yedi Mop Station is the slowest here because it uses a camera and not a lidar sensor like other expensive models. After clearing obstacles such as shoes, cables and books out of the way, I began mapping the 33m2 area, which took an hour to complete.

Suction and sweeping performance
With a suction power between 200 and 2,500 Pa and a run time of 200 minutes in normal mode, the Yedi mop station is below average for its category.
We also have an edge brush for dirt collection and a main brush to help with vacuuming jobs. Like almost every other Yedi robot we’ve reviewed, this model has top-of-the-line mapping, collision sensors, and a front-facing camera. Among the sensors inside, there are drop detection and carpet sensors located at the bottom.
What I liked:
- Easy to use app.
- Allows you to schedule cleaning.
- Allows you to identify areas to perform a localized cleaning task.
- Superior cleaning properties.
What I don’t like:
- Poor built-in camera quality.
- Poor performance in normal mode.
- He constantly marries things at random.
- It does not allow dividers.

Yedi Mop’s site mapping system uses Visual Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) technology, meaning a camera sensor placed on top of the robot vacuum cleaner shows the location. This type of mapping has been proven ineffective in our various reviews, and you can check out our Yeedi Vac Max review for more details.
The robot uses SLAM to map the environment by comparing it to its own location for navigation purposes, but this is sometimes inaccurate. Collisions with furniture often occur, and the robot has trouble recognizing when doors are opened or closed. This was no different in the case of the Yedi mop station robot.

Besides the bugs and navigation issues, I was surprised that this robot was so slow at cleaning. This can be a problem depending on the size of your house or apartment, because for better performance, you should use the mop station in Max+ mode, which consumes more power. In the table below, the performance of the vacuum cleaner in normal mode is poor.
As part of our standard robot vacuum cleaner review matrix, we conducted a hands-on review using the four most common types of household debris. Here the vacuum is set to Standard and Max+ mode, and it’s worth mentioning that our test scale is accurate to 0.1g. The results are shown in the table below and were carried out on the covered surface:
Test volume (g) | Standard Absorption Rate (g) | Normalized efficiency (%) | Maximum Absorption Rate (g) | Max+ Efficiency (%) | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Rice | 9.8 g | ||||
oats | 9.6 g | ||||
Coffee | 9.7 g | ||||

Cleaning performance
However, this is not a simple robot vacuum cleaner. Yedi offers advanced cleaning features with two rotating brushes that you simply cannot find in other models. Considering that this is the main selling point of the Yedi Mop station and that the manufacturer does not guarantee a cleaning performance of more than 94% at the maximum suction level, the two cleaning pads located at the back of the robot play the most important role. The role of waste disposal.

That is, if you spill something like sauce or milk on the floor, it is still recommended to clean the area, let the robot return to the self-cleaning station and then start the normal cleaning process. This prevents the surfaces from spreading dirt instead of cleaning the floor. You also do the same thing with a manual floor cleaner in the cleaning process. In fact, rotary mopping pads provide 10N of downward pressure, which is just over 1kg.

Here, unlike models like the Roborock Q7 Max+, which also have a cleaning station, the Yedi Mop Station washes the mop pads inside the self-cleaning station. This means that in addition to constant maintenance of the water and waste containers, the dust container must be emptied manually. The site is responsible for drying the tiles, a process that takes approximately six hours.
Finally, when it comes to battery life, the Yedi Mop Station offers a 5,200 mAh battery and 200 minutes of runtime in standard mode. However, when you use the robot at its maximum capacity, this time will be greatly reduced. A full charge takes approximately 6 hours, which can be a problem when cleaning large houses and apartments.

Is the Yedi Mop site any good?
The Yedi Mop Station concept is interesting, as the two mop pads can be used for advanced cleaning rather than “just vacuuming” by scrubbing where it goes. In addition, the self-cleaning station provides more convenience. In our tests, the Yedi Mop Station proved to be a great tool, but only when it’s running at its highest performance level.

Like Yedi’s other robot slots, the control system is a bit limited and the navigation technology is somewhat limited. But, with time and hard work, you will learn how to get the most out of this modern tool. The Yedi mop station is clearly recommended for apartments and larger homes, but be prepared for a little more maintenance than advanced stations that automatically empty the dust bin.
Overall, the Yedi Mop site is still a strong recommendation for those looking for a device with a cleaning function that provides a satisfactory level of cleaning.
