Online group event in-app purchases
In 2020, we chose to support applications and developers that need to physically modify services due to the Covide-19 epidemic. In particular, we have rescheduled the App Store Review Guide 3.1.1, which requires applications that offer paid in-app online group services.
We have extended the current deadline to June 30, 2022, taking into account the recent impact of CVID and its continued impact on its services.
As a reminder, Guideline 3.1.3 (d) allows apps that provide instant in-person services between two individuals (eg, educating students, medical counseling, real estate visits, or fitness training) using in-house purchasing methods. App purchase.
Account deletion in applications
App Store Review Guide 5.1.1 Provides more control over people’s personal data by stating that all apps that allow creating an account must allow users to start deleting their account from the app. This requirement applies to all app entries by January 31, 2022. Due to the complexity of implementing this requirement, we have extended the deadline to June 30, 2022, to provide additional time.
Please consider these requirements when updating your application:
- The option to delete an account in your app should be simple.
- It is not enough just to provide the ability to temporarily disable or disable an account. People must delete the account with their personal data.
- Applications in highly controlled industries may need to provide additional support flows to verify and facilitate the account deletion process.
- Follow the relevant legal requirements for storing and maintaining user account information. This includes complying with local laws in different countries or regions. As always, check with your solicitor.
