Despite teasing it back in May, Google continues to keep its original Pixel tablet partially wrapped. Also announced at the ‘Made by Google’ event are the Pixel 7 and Pixel Watch. However, the search giant was generous enough to reveal the Pixel tablet’s build and charging dock.
TL; DR
- Google will further tease the Pixel tablet at its Pixel 7 event.
- The company has confirmed a charging dock for the tablet.
- The Pixel tablet is equipped with the Tensor G2 processor found on the Pixel 7.
Some rumors have been swirling that the Pixel tablet will come with a wireless charging dock that can turn it into a smart display like the Nest Hub Max, and now Google has confirmed it during the event. The dock includes a speaker that activates Google Assistant for smart home commands when the tablet is docked. It’s not clear if the dock will be optional or bundled with the tablets out of the box.

Apart from the dock, Google has revealed that the tablet will follow the premium construction of the Pixel 7 duo. Google says the Pixel tablet is made from a recycled aluminum case with a nano-ceramic coating. The corners of the tablet are slightly rounded. It is available in black and white.

When will Google release the Pixel tablet?
Pricing for the Pixel Tablet is still undisclosed. But it is meant to be a premium tablet. Google may launch its first Pixel-branded tablet early next year. The wait with the Pixel 7a slated for August 2023 is because the device is already a tease.
