- OnePlus reacts after OnePlus 10T fails YouTube hack test
- The company claims that the OnePlus 10T has met or passed the durability test in its labs.
OnePlus phones made headlines last week when the OnePlus 10T was subjected to an extreme durability test by popular YouTube channel JerryRigEverything. Now, the company has responded to a YouTube leak that the OnePlus 10T was tested well before its launch.
“The OnePlus 10T meets or exceeds all of OnePlus’ extensive durability testing procedures. This includes a pressure test in which the device is suspended when weight is applied to the center of the front and back,” the company said. Gadgets 360 In the description.
“OnePlus 10T has an improved structural engineering design and can carry more than 45 kg. [99 pounds – ed] External power in this experiment in the laboratory of OnePlus.
Disappointing results for OnePlus
Jerry’s bend test of everything saw the phone’s plastic frame break cleanly, with the break below the camera housing but above the battery. The phone seems to lock in a little longer than the OnePlus 10 Pro, but the break still occurs in the same area as the Pro model.
This result indicates that the internal layout of the phone is not sufficiently handled for this type of bending, or that the company’s “improved structure engineering design” is not sufficient to pass the bending test.
It’s worth noting that the bend test is a bit extreme compared to the real-world conditions you might encounter. But it still says a lot about the OnePlus 10T and OnePlus 10 Pro that devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3, Google Pixel 6 Pro, and Any Phone 1 are much better. So if these manufacturers do better than OnePlus, maybe it’s time for an Oppo-related brand to cook things up.
