Yesterday, Apple announced the iPhone 14 series and offered the same prices as the same phones last year during the live stream. There are two asterisks to attach to this statement. First, the iPhone mini, the cheapest member of Apple’s premier lineup, is gone. Also, the iPhone 14 Plus has no predecessor.
Second and more important, this statement is true for US prices. And so are Canadian and Chinese prices. But elsewhere, prices have risen – after looking at online Apple stores in several countries, we found variations ranging from a small hike to a whopping 25% hike.
