If you’ve been following Pixel News lately, you probably know that a lot of prototype units for both Vanilla Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are already in the wild. Google has generally done a good job of hunting and deactivating these “bricks” or in some way, but that hasn’t stopped them from digging into the details like a boot log to dig into the details.
A few more low-level details are now available. Let’s start with the new one in a different order Tensor 2 chipset. The new release reaffirms the Pixel 7’s customization GS201 The chip still uses 4 + 2 + 2 CPU core design and continues to use Cortex-A55 courses, which is reflected in the unique solution found in boot logs. As we already know from other cracks, the two “big” Cortex-X1 cores will also move forward from the original Tensor. The original design used older A76 cores rather than the recent Cortex-A78 (the latest ARMv8 intermediate cores), which may be the only replacement. That said, we still don’t know what Google plans for GPU and other hardware.

Speaking of other hardware, this is not the first time a new display panel has been released for the Pixel 7 Pro. This new flow reaffirms that at least the special prototype component under investigation is new Samsung-made S6E3HC4 panel Replacing the old S6E3HC3 in the Pixel 6 Pro. This panel switching may be the reason behind the high brightness reported by software – 1,000 nits and 100% APL (full screen turned on), over 800 nits current. The display resolution is expected to remain the same at 3,120 x 1,440 pixels, but it can now reduce power consumption with additional native 1080p mode.
Google Pixel 7 Pro
Other findings from the recent round of prototype log snooping include new Cirrus Logic CS40L26 Chips for Haptics which looks a lot newer than the one generation in the Pixel 6 Pro. So, maybe we expect better feedback from the Pixel 7 Pro.
Finally, the STMicroelectronics ST54K NFC chip is now easily converted. ST21NFC, Which no longer includes the UWB function on its own chip. That doesn’t mean UWB is missing from the Pixel 7 Pro. It only works with a separate chip.
