Last we heard about it, the Motorola X50 Ultra was “coming soon” with a promised launch this month. It's not quite ready, but the checklist is almost complete – one of the last items has been approved by TENAA and the agency has listed the phone with live photos and some specifications.
The X50 Ultra is the Chinese version of the Motorola Edge 50 Ultra, which is expected later this month. The local model will have some additional features, AI is still the main part of the advertisement.

The TENAA photos show the black model and although you can't see it clearly, this is vegan leather (the color is called forest gray, at least in the West). The device measures 161.0 x 72.4 x 8.5mm and weighs 197g, which are roughly Edge 50 Ultra dimensions with some rounding.
Both models are powered by Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 and powered by a 4,500mAh battery (4,365mAh rated) with 125W fast charging. There should also be 50W wireless charging, but that doesn't make any difference in this list.

The distinguishing features of the model are a curved 6.7-inch OLED display on the front and a 3x periscope lens on the back with a unique lens shape and a 64MP sensor.
The Motorola X50 Ultra should have extended memory options compared to the Edge twin. Based on the TENAA specifications, users can choose between 8, 12, 16 and 18 GB of RAM and 128 GB to 1 TB of storage. Motorola still hasn't announced a launch date for the X50 series, but we'll keep you posted.
