If you live in the United States, you are more likely to buy your phone with a payment plan. That is, if the retail price is more than a few hundred dollars. Similarly, if you are buying a hive this way, it could be Samsung.
Samsung has spent decades developing relationships with wireless service providers. Other manufacturers, such as Motorola, Google, and (simultaneously) LG, have formed strict trade unions.
OnePlus, which has been in the game for a few years, did not make the same progress. While it is doing a good job of creating compelling devices to compete with flags, OnePlus has done little here in the United States other than partnering with T-Mobile.
Why does this matter? Because OnePlus penetrated major states in its lifetime and increased its value along the way. At the same time, they do not seem to be in a hurry to make new connections.
No matter how good the phones are, the main OnePlus models are not pocket-friendly “killer” items, they are the only ones. In the words of Obi-Wan Kenobi, it has become something I swear to destroy.
This means that they are just as expensive as other high-end phones. And if you are not a T-Mobile customer on that line, you have to pay the full price for them or in advance. Is the OnePlus 9 Pro the best phone for 1,000 $ 1,000? Well a great Phone? Should it be considered one of the best options because it is manufactured as a single price?

Design
Smooth and flawless
In terms of hardware design and overall beauty, the OnePlus 9 Pro is by far the most elegant and sophisticated company. Like the previous one, it is big and a little thick, but generally with all the right curves.
In terms of materials and quality, the 9 Pro is as beautiful and balanced as we have seen in this thirteen years. Aluminum and glass are just as fun to handle.
Although we are talking about black, OnePlus does a good job of choosing the colors. And just like the “pine green” sounds boring or discouraging, it shows that shared chat is really very physically appealing.
One of the hallmarks of a OnePlus phone is its own caller switch near the power button. Allows users to jump straight to silence, vibration and ring with a simple slide. Is it necessary? Hardly. Do you miss having a good time with one another? for sure.
Other than that, until you copy the phone and see the camera system, there is not much difference here. Front and side, it is a standard approach. After all, it’s very special. More later.
Internal hardware
Hard to win at any cost
The OnePlus 9 Pro has an on-the-line Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 processor with at least 8 GB of RAM. It comes with 128GB of storage and no microSD card slot, but it costs $ 100 plus 12GB of RAM and 256GB.
The OnePlus 9 Pro supports both 5G and mmWave 5G versions but is only guaranteed to work with T-Mobile and Verizon networks. Sorry, AT&T subscribers, only 4G LTE left. Again, that certainly looks like the problem of the first world in 2021.
If there is one thing that makes OnePlus great, it is charging. That’s exactly where the 9 Pro comes with the right crazy 65W charger in the box. That, in addition, the fact that the phone has two batteries with 4,500mAh power supply leads to a crazy fast charging speed.
OnePlus offers a $ 69 Warp Charger 50 Wireless Charge which charges the technically charged battery at 25 W. Basically it’s like having a 50W wireless charger. If you understand batteries and charging, you know that this is the only bonfire.
How long will that 4,500mAh battery last? We found it to be longer than we wanted it to be in ten days. Most nights we would go to bed with him at 30% or more.
If for some reason we have to pay for it on the road, it only takes a few minutes to earn a living. As we have seen, you want to use OnePlus proprietary red cables to get faster and more efficient payments.
This is one of the biggest selling points for OnePlus at the moment. And after only a day of playing with it, we see why. It’s amazing, but not without screaming.
Like Samsung, OnePlus now uses a battery-friendly and efficient LTPO OLED screen. It also gives the company more control over the renewal rate. Here the phone can go from silk soft 120Hz to 1Hz as needed.
By 2020, like the speed of renewal, touch response speed is becoming one of the highlights of those Benchmark figures and early adopters. The hyper touch technology in the 9 Pro increases by 360 Hz, which is one of the highest you can get on the phone.
It ‘s too early to decide how that will actually translate to mobile players. You never know how fast the tapping of a screen will be at a certain point. And if they tell us that they can tell the difference between 240 Hz and 360Hz, we suspect they are not completely true.
Software
Store Android with the right add-ons
The OnePlus software experience, known as OxygenOS, is based on Android 11 and builds more or less stock. It offers a lot more about customization and user experience, but it has no swelling.
OnePlus has announced two major software updates and three year security updates. This is similar to what Android One and Nokia promised the devices. If the hardware is as strong, we would like OnePlus to support it for a few years.
OnePlus does a good job of providing timely software updates and this is important for us. We also dig in when we can shorten and upgrade our phones, making them truly unique and making us feel “ours.” 9 Pro does the same and is able to do this in a way that does not require users to have an engineering degree.
Camera
Give it to Hasselblad.
Until recently, one of the major concerns for OnePlus was the cameras. If the results are not very good, it does not matter how many cameras you have or how many shots you have on the back. Unfortunately, OnePlus struggled to walk with others in the main camera space.
As far as we are concerned, it is almost impossible to beat what Google does with its cameras. That means “Open the app and take a photo” demographic. We do not usually block large-scale or telegraph recordings. It is usually a standard picture or portrait.
For 2021 OnePlus has turned to Hasselblad for camera experience in both the 9 and 9 Pro. In fact, this is the beginning of a three-year relationship between the two companies. The main function for Hasselblad and these new tools is color correction and accuracy.
When we were with the OnePlus 9 Pro we found the overall image quality to be good, sometimes very good. But that is not the case with a little competence.
Even with the use of different shooting modes, the light generally appears on the board. Some blues may distort it or it may be a little too sharp but you have to look closely or compare face-to-face shots.
OnePlus does an amazing job with the application, which provides a clear and concise way for users to navigate. It does not take long to figure out things and if you have used OnePlus in the past you are more than half home.
We enjoy playing with a wide-angle 50-megapixel camera, which does a great job of sharpening and sharpening the edges. We often see very wide cameras doing that distorted fish eye. OnePlus has a custom lens to help with that and is as good as expected. It is better to do it in hardware first and not rely on software fixes.
One of the rules we use to hire phones is to avoid at least one step away from the maximum zoom settings of their cameras. Just because you can highlight an issue does not mean you have to do it. And when you do that, you get less results than you should.
We recommend that you take as few photos of your subject as possible and spend some time learning the limits. Get out of the real world and try to take some photos very early and bring grain, noise and unpleasant bullets. It’s a great camera experience, but you need to know that. The Pixel 5, on the other hand, may not be so round but easy to understand and control.
In terms of price, the OnePlus 9 Pro and its cameras should be highly valued. Although we wanted to provide real-time photos and experiments, we did not spend much time with the phone (and at the same time reaching for another flag). But from what we can gather from other sources, the 9 Pro looks very good in such experiments.
Performance
As good as you expect
Truth be told, there is no way a typical phone user would pay for such hardware. We expect the OnePlus 9 Pro to be as strong as usual for at least two or three years.
Considering the details, we loaded the full daily driver value applications, games, tags and settings into the phone. We did our best to find stuttering and delay, but we could not identify anything along these lines. Right now, to be fair, we are not running Benchmark tests, and we are not comparing ourselves.
If you are really looking for a great online tool you want to add this to your list. But we expect you to use this review as part of your homework. For that reason, we recommend that you look for sites that go deeper into battery tests, games that play closely on frames per second and download rates, and more technical information.
If we appreciate that this phone is ringing, we do not like to be connected to a distorted display. Yeah Al that sounds pretty crap to me, Looks like BT aint for me either.
Summary
Very cool, but…
The OnePlus 9 Pro is not a “flag killer” but simply because of its price. If it costs less than a hundred dollars, he may have the opportunity to wear it. Still, it is a flag with a high level of bullet points and promises.
Under the belt used for two weeks, we are confident that OnePlus 9 Pro will make claims and meet expectations. Each passing generation makes us feel more comfortable with the brand and feel more comfortable advising him.
One of the problems we face when evaluating phones is trying to look at them correctly and blankly. It means we do our best not to compare it to other mobile phones. This is difficult to do, especially when one brand launches two versions of the phone at the same time.
As we spent time with the 9 Pro we played with his brother or sister OnePlus 9. It costs less than $ 240 and gives you more or less the same performance.
There are some extras you can get for your money, but they are not necessary. These features include fast wireless charging, telephoto lens, image stabilization, mmWave 5G support and a small screen. Yes, the displays are technically different, but we expect you to see less. And if we are completely honest, we would prefer the flat screen on the 9’s better than the curved edge of the 9 Pro.
Do we recommend buying the OnePlus 9 Pro? By no means. Are you selling yourself short by choosing OnePlus 9 instead? oh no.
If you are someone who likes to be different or buys something that others don’t, you should consider the OnePlus brand. Also, if you are the type to get the best phone you can buy, 9 Pro is where you land.
