If you’re in the market for a new and rugged portable power station, Amazon is bringing the Jackery Explorer 1000 back to $799, its second best price ever. The deal gets you $300 in savings, or 27 percent off the site price.
The retailer lists all three options for the Jackery Explorer 1000. This includes the 100 watt solar generator variants for $1089 (down from $309) and the 200 watt now retailing for $1299, down from $1649.
The Jackery Explorer 1000 is a solid power station.
While Jackery’s Explorer 1000 isn’t the latest in the series, it has comparable capabilities to the more expensive Explorer 1000 Pro that Thomas reviewed, but now at a cheaper price. The 1002 Wh battery cells mean it can power multiple devices at once, and the 1000 W (2000 W in surge) output rating supports heavy-duty appliances like coffee makers.
Despite its large battery capacity, the Explorer 1000 weighs only 22.04 pounds (10 kg) and comes with a sturdy case for easy transport. The unit is also standby-rated and has an outdoor operating temperature range of 14-104ºF. In addition to AC and DC outlets, there are several ports and sockets such as USB-C. In addition, it has an LED light on the side, which is convenient for camping trips and breaks.
Like most of Jackery’s backup power cubes, the Explorer 1000 is compatible with the company’s Solar Saga panels. This allows you to charge via attached PV solar panels using a wall outlet or car socket to recharge the juice.
The Jackery Explorer 1000 was last offered by Amazon in July. So you can check it out while the offer is still running.
