Maps website screenshots allow you to share details including important points of interest and places of business, geographical boundaries and lines – simply by clicking the URL. Screenshots work best when you want to replace a static image on your website, in an email or somewhere else where you don’t need JavaScript and a fully interactive map.
To do that, the snapshot URL needs basic account information – the key ID you create to get your group ID and Apple Maps – with physical location to center the map. You must attach a signature to ensure that the map request does not change between your server and Apple Maps.
https://snapshot.apple-mapkit.com/api/v1/snapshot?center=[location name or coordinates]&teamId=[Team ID]&keyId=[Maps Key ID]&signature=[base64_url_encoded_signature]
Map center point is the only parameter required for a URL, and can be paired with different dashes and longitude pairs or physical addresses. For example, use center="Apple Park"
To request a snapshot of Apple Park in California.
Add question parameters
Maps web screenshots can be further customized by adding queries to show different descriptions and overlapping patterns, alternative map types, and light or dark color schemes to better match the content included.

Add map descriptions Use the descriptive parameter to add one or more explanations and include JSON explanatory elements that represent the lower center of each. To save the default metaphor, add annotations=["point":"37.33489990234375,-122.00901794433594"]
URL to your screenshot.
You can also customize the description, change the color, style, size or add a custom image.
Prepare a color scheme Using colorScheme
You can create maps web screenshots to scale, match content and human device theme settings. For example, when the device is set to a darker aspect, you can add and take a snapshot of Apple Park. colorScheme=dark
URL to your screenshot.
Choose your landscape Attach the parameter to the actual map value to show a specific map type: standard
, satellite
Or hybrid
. For example, to get a satellite copy of Apple Park Map, attach t=satellite
URL to your screenshot.
