Infinix introduced the GT 10 Pro last August as its first gaming smartphone. And today, as expected, the brand unveiled the Infinix GT 20 Pro as the successor to the GT 10 Pro at its global launch event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Infinix GT 20 Pro has Dimensity 8200 Ultimate on board coupled with 8GB/12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage. It runs XOS 14 out of the box, and Infinix promises two Android version updates and three years of security updates for the smartphone.
The Infinix GT 20 Pro also has the PixelWorks X5 Turbo dedicated gaming display chip under the hood, making it the brand's first dual-chip smartphone. The chip uses Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation (MEMC) to boost frame rates from 60 FPS to 120 FPS for a smooth gaming experience. It can also improve the quality of the picture.
Additionally, the Infinix GT 20 Pro uses a stable frame-rate engine to deliver stable frame-rate while gaming. The brand claims that the smartphone can achieve a frame rate of up to 120 FPS for an hour with “ultra-stable operation”.
Infinix claims that Free Fire, Call of Duty (COD) and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) can reach up to 90 FPS, while Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB), Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail can reach up to 120 FPS. .
The Infinix GT 20 Pro comes with an Esports Mode designed for professional esports conditions and advertised to match the performance of the GT 20 Pro to a gaming console. And to keep the phone cool, the VC liquid cooling system is 73% larger (estimated compared to the previous gen), the main heat source area for targeted cooling now has more than 66% thermal conductivity. The GT 20 Pro features a 68% larger Phase Change Material (PCM) sheet.
Being a gaming smartphone, the Infinix GT 20 Pro also offers a design that appeals to gamers. It comes with a cyber mecha design with a turbine blade design that focuses on iron, power and speed.
It also has a Mecha Loop LED interface, which means the phone's rear panel sports customizable RGB LEDs that support eight color combinations and four lighting effects. Game Light Effects supports three games: PUBG for aiming, shooting and driving (not supported in India). MLBB for first kill, single kill and multi kill (only supported in India). and free fire for aiming and intense combat (supported by all regions).
The lighting effects can be customized for incoming calls, notifications, charging and music playback. What's more, the GT 20 Pro has an X-axis linear vibration motor for enhanced haptic feedback.
The smartphone is not just a game so let's talk about other features of Infinix GT 20 Pro. The phone is built around a 6.78-inch 144Hz FullHD+ LTPS AMOLED display with 1,300 nits of peak brightness and a punch-hole centered for the 32MP selfie camera. Around the back is a 108 MP primary camera (Samsung HM6 with OIS), which includes two. 2 MP units (approximate depth and macro).

Infinix also announced that the GT 20 Pro will be the official gaming phone for PUBG Mobile Super League (PMSL). It will be held from May 15, 2024 to June 9, 2024 in Europe, Middle East and Africa and from May 22, 2024 to June 16, 2024 in Central and South Asia.
