The Samsung Galaxy S22 has been embroiled in many controversies. Perhaps the most famous is the case of GOS (Game Optimization Service) which deliberately lowers the gaming performance of flagships to avoid overheating. Samsung is now saying this on the Galaxy S23, according to a report.
The Galaxy S22 is expected to use only Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. While the chipset offers more efficient performance, it can still experience bottlenecks in heavy tasks like gaming. Samsung is coming up with a solution for this by incorporating a better cooling system.
Samsung Galaxy S23 (Ultra) cooling system
Repeated leak Ahmed Quaider He tweeted that the upcoming Galaxy S23 (Ultra) will get much improved heat dissipation. It offers numbers of 1.6, 2.8 and 2.3 respectively for the smaller Galaxy S23 model up to the Ultra. These can be thought of as factors of dispersion or changes in the liquid phase.
When it comes to gaming, the Galaxy S23 can maintain high-frame rates and clock speeds without causing alarming heat levels compared to its predecessor. However, it is too early to say how the following hardware changes will result in actual usability or how they will integrate with Samsung’s GOS device.
In addition to Samsung, Xiaomi is bringing a large vapor chamber cooling system to the new Xiaomi 13 (Pro). Additionally, the newly launched Redmi K60 lineup, or known as the Poco F5 in international markets, has the same upgrades as other gaming handsets that are supposed to be efficient.
Previous reports suggest the Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23 Plus will benefit from larger batteries and an updated design. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, is getting a major camera upgrade alongside better 8K video. Samsung will announce its flagship Galaxy phones in the first week of February.
