Here’s how to get a review year on Apple Books:
Find out by assessment year
Year in Review is available on iPhone and iPad under Top Picks in the Read Now tab for users who have at least three titles marked as completed.
To add books or audiobooks, readers simply tap and hold any book in the app and mark it as done. To change the displayed completion date, users can hold the book and select Edit Completion Date. For titles to be read elsewhere, such as in hardcover or paperback, users can search for them in Apple Books and select Mark as Complete to add them to the review year.
Discover the types of readers
Review Year uses anonymous reader insights to determine personal reading style. Readers of contemporary titles have access to six reader types, including The Contemporary. A completist of many books in the series; The Finder for Non-Fiction Readers; Wanderer for multi-genre readers; A deep dive for single genre readers; Or The Free Spirit for readers with a broad interest in the world of books.
At the end of the user’s year review, they can see an overview of their year in books, showing total books read and total minutes spent reading, along with completed book covers.
