Apple’s global phenomenon “Ted Lasso” joins the ranks of the most celebrated comedies in history, winning back-to-back Emmys for Outstanding Comedy Series at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards.

In total, Apple TV+ earned nine Emmy Awards this year, including five Creative Arts Emmy Awards with “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” taking top honors for Outstanding Short Form Comedy, its fifth win in a row; Respected Outstanding Drama Series nominee “Severance” made its Emmy debut with two wins including Outstanding Music Composition for a Series and Outstanding Original Title Design; Apple’s critically acclaimed “Schmigadoon!” winning outstanding original music and lyrics; And dramatic mystery series “Home Before Dark” won the previously announced Outstanding Motion Design Award.
In addition to this year’s sophomore “Ted Lasso” honor, the first season made history at last year’s 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards as the most-nominated freshman comedy series in history, earning a total of seven awards. Outstanding Comedy Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (Jason Sudeikis), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Brett Goldstein), Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series (Hannah Waddingham), Outstanding Sound Mixing for a Comedy or Drama Series (Half Hour), Comedy Series Advanced single-camera picture editing, and advanced casting for comedy series.
Apple’s original series, movies and documentaries have now garnered 275 wins and 1,152 award nominations and counting, including this year’s historic Oscar win for “CODA” for Best Picture, beating Apple in the category for the first time streaming.

Each episode of “Carpool Karaoke: The Series” features celebrities carpooling, singing along to their personal playlists and embarking on adventures. Season five begins with Simu Liu and Jessica Henwick; “The White Lotus” costars Murray Bartlett, Alexandra Daddario and Sidney Sweeney; Anita and Saweti; Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott, who first met on “Carpool Karaoke”; All Elite Wrestling Stars; and the D’Amelio family.
“Carpool Karaoke: The Series,” which has won multiple Producers Guild Awards and a Critics’ Choice Award for every Emmy, is produced for Apple by CBS Studios and Fulwell 73 Productions, with executive producers James Corden, Eric Pankowski and Ben Winston.
“Home Before Dark”
“Home Before Dark” is a dramatic mystery series inspired by the reporting of young investigative journalist Hilde Lysiak. Created and executive produced by John M. Choo, the series follows a young girl named Hilde (played by Brooklynn Prince) who moves from Brooklyn to a small lakeside town her father abandoned. While there, her quest for the truth prompts her to uncover a chilling case that everyone in town, including her own father, has tried so hard to bury.
The series is executive produced by showrunners Dana Fox, John M. Chu, Joey Gorman Wettles, Howard Deutch, Dara Resnick, Russell Friend, Garrett Lerner and Charlene Martin. Co-created by Dana Fox and Dara Resnick. The cast includes: Brooklyn Prince, Jim Sturgess, Abby Miller, Kylie Rogers, Aziza Scott, Michael Weston, Joel Carter, Gabriel Nantambu, Derek McCabe and Rio Mangini.

“Shmygadon!” The Parody of Musicals is a new musical comedy series starring Emmy Award nominee Cecily Strong and Emmy Award winner Keegan-Michael Key as a couple on a backpacking trip to rekindle their relationship when they discover a magical town where everyone has lived in a studio musical since the 1940s. . Then they realize they can’t let go until they find “true love.”
The series comes from Broadway Video and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group. It was produced by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Paul serves as showrunner and wrote all the original songs for the series. Robert Lutik directs and co-executive produces. Jason Sudeikis is an American soccer coach hired by Ted Lasso to manage the British soccer team despite his inexperience. But what it lacks in knowledge it makes up for in optimism, determination – and crackers. The critically acclaimed series stars Hannah Waddingham, Brendan Hunt, Jeremy Swift, Juno Temple, Brett Goldstein, Phil Dunster and Nick Mohammed.
In addition to starring, Sudeikis also serves as an executive producer with Bill Lawrence through Dozer Productions, a partnership with Warner Bros. and Universal Television, a division of Universal Studios Group.
